Early Career keynote speaker bursaries
Thanks to funding by Europlanet there will be up to 10 bursaries for both students and early career scientists whose first Ph.D. in a subject related to the conference theme has been later than 31 March 2011. Recipients of these bursaries will be invited to give a talk or poster and receive free accommodation in single rooms at Hotel Dalecarlia, free meals (breakfasts, lunches, coffee breaks and dinners) as well as free paricipation in the excursion. People wishing to apply for bursaries should mention this and the date of award of their Ph. D. when sending their abstract. Deadline for entering the competition and abstract submission was March 31st, 2019. The Scientific Committee will now select the recipients of the bursaries as soon as possible.
Registration
Please fill in the Registration form , which can be downloaded as a .doc file here as well as as a .pdf file here and send it to wgeppert@hotmail.com. Please note that the form will NOT constitute a booking for an accommodation (instructions for that are found below).
Accommodation booking
Invited speakers (including early career keynote speakers selected by the Scientific committee) should just send their itinerary to wgeppert@hotmail.com.. We will then book single accommodations for them. If you want to book a shared double room with another conference participant< (not an accompanying person), contact Wolf Geppert (wgeppert@hotmail.com) before the booking and we will match you up with another person, either according to your wishes or with the same gender.
All other participants should, if they wish to stay at Hotel Dalecarlia, undertake the following steps:
- Access the website of Hotel Dalecarlia.
- Choose "Book room" from the menu bar close to the top of the website
- To change the language click the drop down icon close to the small Swedish flag in the top middle of the webpage and the word "Svenska" and choose "English" from the drop down menu
- Click on the key in the field with a text "I have a code" field below the calendar. Two fields appear, fill in "University" in the field "Corp code" and click "Verify code". Otherwise you won't get the reduced rate!
- Scroll the calendar on the left to the right with the right and left arrows until you reach June 2019
- Click on the arrival day. A dialogue field appears, click on the number of nights to be booked (5 if you stay for the whole event)
- Choose the number of persons and rooms in the field below the calendar. Add additional roooms and people (accompanying persons), if needed.
- Click the green "Search" button.
- A selection of rooms appears. Select the room type you want with the green "Select" button
- You are transferred to the payment site. Please follow the instructions there.
- With successful payment accommodations and all the meals specified under the section "Conference fees" below are reserved and included in the price.
Please note that all breakfasts and coffee breaks as well as the dinners and lunches specified under "Conference fees" (see below) are included in the conference packages listed below - and meals are expensive in Sweden. It is wise take that into account when one looks at quotations from other hotels - the conference venue offers good value for money. Guests arriving later than June 9th and leaving earlier than June 14th should ask Hotel Dalecarlia for a quotation.
Participants who do not book any packages including stay at Hotel Dalecarlia have, nevertheless, to pay the Day Guest Fee upon registration at Hotel Dalearlia /see below for details).
In case attendees wish alternative accommodation and/or rooms at Hotel Dalecarlia sell out we have made some block bookings at Åkerblåds Gästgiveri (phone: +46-(0)247-50800, e-mail: info@akerblads.se, booking code 72929) and Greens Hotel (phone:++46-(0)247-50000, e-mail: mail@greenhotel.se, booking code "Impacts2019"). If you want to book a room there contact the hotels by e-mail or phone mentioning your arrival, departure, choice of room and the booking code given above. Both places are in walking distance (500m) from the conference venue.
Deadline for all accommodation booking is 30th April 2018. Rooms are allocated on a first come - first served basis. After the deadline accommodation cannot be guaranteed anymore.

Abstract submisssion
Please use the Abstract template, which can be downloaded as a .doc file here. Please send the abstract as an attached .doc file by e-mail to Wolf Geppert, wgeppert@fysik.su.se. Deadline for abstract submission is April 15th, 2019 .
Conference fees
The following conference packages and day guest registration fees apply:
Invited speakers will be offered the conference package in single rooms and the excursion for free.
The Conference Packages include:
- Acccommodation in chosen room (single or shared double) with private facilities from 9 June 2019 (arrival) to 14 June 2018 (departure)
- Buffet breakfasts every day
- Buffet lunch with two different warm meals, sallad, bread, butter and table water on June 10th, 11th and 13th
- 3-course Dinners on 9th, 10th, 11th
- Coffee breaks on 9th, 10th, 11th
- Conference banquet on June 13th
- Registration and book of abstracts
The Accompanying Persons fee includes:
- Acccommodation in double room sharing with conference participant from 9 June 2019 (arrival) to 14 June 2018 (departure)
- Buffet breakfasts every day
- Buffet lunch with two different warm meals, sallad, bread, butter and table water on June 10th, 11th and 13th.(Accompanying persons can cancel lunches upon arrival (if they want o get on excursions) and get around SEK 100,- per lunch refunded for that)
- 3-course Dinners on 9th, 10th, 11th
- Conference banquet on June 13th
The Day Guest fee includes:
- Coffee breaks on 9th, 10th, 11th
- Buffet lunch with two different warm meals, sallad, bread, butter and table water on June 10th, 11th and 13th
- Conference banquet on June 13th
- Registration and book of abstracts
Please note that participants that are neither invited speakers (this includes Early Career Keynote Speakers) nor members of the Stockholm University Astrobiology Centre have to book their accommodation by themselves (see instructions above). There are other hotels in Tällberg but they are in the same price range at Dalecarlia. A limited number of superior rooms are available for the same price as standard rooms. These are allocated on a first come - first served basis. So the early bird catches the worm.......
The fee for the excursion includes:
- Excursion programme according to announcement (see the Programme webpage for details
- Entrance and guided tour to the Falu copper mine
- Lunch and dinner on 12th June
- Transportation
Extra nights before and after the event have to be booked and paid individually. However, for attendees of the Swedish Astrobiology Network Meeting there is the possibility to extend the stay to the 15th June through registration at the hotel for this conference.
