Invited speakers

The conference organisers will arrange hotel accommodation at the "Park Hotel" close to the conference venue (please see your invitation e-mail).Deadline for sending your travel itinerary is 31 March 2014. Thereafter accommodation cannot be guaranteed anymore. Unfortunately Park Hotel is quite small and cannot offer accommodations to all conference guests.

Other participants

We have made a block booking for the other conference participants (including coordination group members of the Nordic Network of Astrobiology) at different hotels and hostels in Bergen. Participants should book their hotels on their own by sending an e-mail to the hotel mentioning the reservation code given for the individual places in the list below. Deadline for accommodation booking is the 31 March 2014. Thereafter accommodation unfortunately cannot be guaranteed anymore. Please note that hotels can charge fees for late cancellation and that registration with the conference implies NO guarantee for accommodation. Conference guests can also book their stays at other places individually, if they wish to do so. We also have listed some budget accommodation for people with tighter travel budgets below. These tend to be booked up very quickly, so early reservation is a must.

Furthermore, the conference organisers have reserved 12 beds across 3 x 4 bedded dorm rooms, with check in Mon 19th and check out Friday 23rd May at the YMCA (see below for details), i.e. 4 nights; the total price for this arrangement being NOK 1280,-. These rooms will be allocated to students on a first come first serve basis. If you are interested in staying there for the meeting, please contact [email protected]. Make sure that you pay the conference fee before the deadline, otherwise reservations cannot be kept. The University of Bergen will issue you an invoice for payment.

Scandic Neptun Hotel Bergen

Price for a single room for conference guests is NOK 1390,- per night. This includes breakfast buffet, wireless internet, gym access for the guests. Scandic Strand Hotel Bergen

The price for the hotel is NOK 1090,- per night for a single room and NOK 1290,- per night for a double room. This includes breakfast, internet, free tea and coffee. Budget accommodation

There are sveral hostels and guest houses available, we have listed three of them below. Please book them on your own. Given that the end of May is already in the beginning of the tourist season in Southern Norway, early booking is highly recommended.
Marken Guest House

Marken Guesthouse has good capacity with 22 rooms (73 beds). Four, eight and ten-bedded rooms shared with other guests of the same sex, or you can rent the room as a group. If you prefer your own room, single and two-bed rooms, some with private bathroom, are available. In addition, they have triple room with private bathroom, also rented as single and double rooms. The rooms are equipped with wardrobe (lockable wardrobe in the dormitory), writing desk, chairs and mirrors. The beds are equipped with duvet and a pillow. You can bring your sheets and towels, or rent them. Linen NOK 65, - / Towel NOK 15 -. All guests can enjoy e free WIFI, access to the fully equipped kitchen, and common rooms with TV. YMCA Hostel Bergen

The hostel has 19 guest rooms ranging from twin to 4 and 6 bedded rooms, with 84 beds in total. All of these rooms have a private bathroom and a mini-fridge. In the summer there are an extra 72 beds spread across 4 Budget Dormitories. For further details check the website of the hostel.

Bergen Hostel Montana (Hostelling International)

The Montana hostel is situated at the foot of Mount Ulriken, one of the seven mountains surrounding the city of Bergen.
